Sometimes days meld into other days and we sometimes loose track of people we have met and things we have considered to learn more about. It’s simply one of those funny things about life.

However, being conscious of your actions and interactions on a daily basis can really give you a boost to: remembering things clearer and learning things better. There are a few ways to do this.

However, one of the most effective ways is to record new experiences in a daily journal. You don’t have to spend more than a few minutes on it. Simply jot down the major things that you have either learned, people you have met and new experiences you have experienced. You can even write it down in point form.

Although writing isn’t for everyone, keeping a firmer grasp on what you have experienced gives you a richer prospective in life going forward. Granted some of us out there don’t really need to do this since they have excellent memories.

The journal also serves as a great way to sharpen your communication skills. It allows you to also be consistant with a task outside of work. Lastly, it provides you with a lot of great information if you decide to perhaps write a book in the future.
