One of major points of having a very susuccessful career is the fact that you must not look at it as work. It is a passion–something that you love to do. Realistically how many people that you know can say this? Many of us are in average jobs or don’t really aspire to another level. But if you fail or hit a road block what will help you survive and weather the storm? If you don’t like you job it will be a tough track.
Just take a look at an athlete–they must go through many trials and ttribulations in order to find personal or even team success. They have to possess a fire in themselves as well as a shear desire to elevate themselves when things are bad. And that’s why you have to love what you do–it is the key to getting you through tough times and ultimately build a great career for yourself.
There are many highs and lows on the road to becoming a successful athlete. What we hear are those highs but those lows are sometimes left in the background. The highs are thus a result of the hard work and sacrifice–yet understanding those moments are important to truly comprehending success.
Take a few moments and choose an athlete you admire. Watch a bio or read book on them if you can. Focus on obstacles he or she had to overcome in order to succeed. Check out games on TV or watch old clips. Examine what athletes do either on the court, field or ice and how they iinteract with their teammates. You can learn a lot about team building as well as developing your own skills from analyzing athletes. Take notes on aspects that fascinate you. Zero in on an athlete that you believe you can truly learn from–watch videos and think of ways their success can help you find success in your own career.
A team can help you grow to new heights in your career so it is very important to help others in a team dynamic wherever in your career you are in! Teamwork is vital to unlocking long-term career success because it involves many people at different places in their careers and lives.
Take some time to assess what teamwork means to you? Have you been part of teams that delivered some type of results that you are proud to reflect on? Teamwork is about how everyone can contribute towards a common goal–short-term or long-term. How have you contributed to someone else’s career goals? This can be a very rewarding time when revisiting your past!

Now think about those around you. Has teamwork been apart of your success? How are you helping others grow and achieve their potential within the group dynamic? It is about ffinding success in your career by focusing on teamwork!

However, if you may be struggling to create a clearer picture of a long-term career for yourself take a few moments to research successful professionals in your field. Observe what they have done at the start of their careers (and analyze potential short-term goals they had) in order to find long-term success.
Also, try baby-steps. Don’t do too much at the same time. Climb one step at a time and build from there. Be focused on achieving short-term goals and building a solid foundation in order to start growing a great career upon it. And remember: don’t be scared of taking some missteps–it’s about your personal career journey you must take in order to succeed.
If you feel your career path is the right one it is important to solidity that by developing your short-term career goals. If you are either work as an entrepreneur or within a larger company it is vital that you understand what you need to do now in order for long-term success. Think about what you are doing now in the short term like training, education, and gaining experience in order to fully achieve your career potential.

1.Find interesting places to network–that means at work, through clubs, niche sites, events, conferences, job fairs, galas, and the list goes on. Be proactive and find events that you can attend!
2.Creating your own events can attract potential professionals and help grow your network. Try different events– a niche that you like or simply a plan and simple networking event.
3.Have a plan to continually grow your network. Read books, watch videos, and observe what successful professionals do in order to build networks that can help everyone involved.
One of the best and easiest ways to secure a job is through build a strong network of professionals. If you don’t have one don’t worry! You can easily build one and keep on growing it.
1.Utilize LinkedIn and Facebook. Reach out to people with the same interests. Send a quick hello message and add something of value–maybe an interesting article. Break the ice and start building your network through politeness and value!
2.Give everyone you know your business card and ask for each person’s card/info. Don’t leave any stone unturned! Everyone can help you build a career and secure a job. Be sure to find ways to help others.

There are a host of reasons why we should change jobs. You are probably tired of your current job–it might be boring or unchallenging. Maybe, you aren’t getting the right training. Or it might be a toxic environment to work it.
Whatever the reason(s) you need to think about the short and long term ramifications as a result of you leaving (to you and your career?) Even if it’s a bad job all around you need to think about what your next employment option is–can you afford to make a move?
You also have to take into consideration what you want from your next job. Is it a lateral move or a step up? Are you interested in career growth or want to do the same thing in a different place?
