A job is a job. You make money, pay bills and survive. Its usually mindless work. Or something you don’t like doing. It is why it’s called work. Now with a career, it’s something completely different. It’s not work. It’s not what you have to do. Instead
It’s something that you like to do.

But is it hard to get a career?

No. It isn’t. You can start building a career today. All you need to do is sit downand ask yourself some questions

– What do you like doing?
– What are you good at?
– What is your work experience?
– Do you have a mentor?

This is a good start. Jot down the answer to these questions. Ask yourself more questions. Be honest when answering these questions.
And be as detailed as possible.

Research your passion

You have the internet at your disposal. Look into what your likes and passion can translate into career wise. Be sure to visit sites that are reputable. Sites that end in .edu are the best because they are affiliated with universities or colleges.
They sometimes offer information and content that is helpful and verified. They also have career centres with online portals with good information.

Keep a journal

Be sure to keep a journal of any
Pertinent information in your career search.

Along with the internet, make your phone your friend. Be sure to email and call people that can help you in your career search. Professionals, teachers, ans family can be great sources of information.

Remember you can’t do this alone. It is imperative you build a strong network around you.
