Defining Your Career Path

Do you have a career path? Do you know exactly what you need to do to get where your going? Do you have goals? Have your made in-roads towards your desired career destination?

One of the easiest things to do when you are mulling over your career is ask yourself questions like some of the samples found above. Write down the questions and then try answering them as truthfully as you can. When you start to assemble information about what you want to do in your career a clearly picture starts to unfold.

You have to look at factors such as education, training, and experience that build your path towards a fruitful career. But you have to look at many other ways you create a path. Networking, mentorship, research, specialization are other important factors to grow your career.
